Our summer weather has been unpredictable at best, meaning day trips to the beach can often be cut short or cancelled altogether. But in the hope we get some of those high temperatures and sunny skies back, we've compiled a very special list for those who like their trips to the beach a little more Scotland isn't shy when it comes to celebrating its naturist community and, as such, there are a host of nudist beaches around the coastlines and islands that are just the ticket when it's too hot to stop at just Taps Aff. So if you fancy enjoying the rare summer rays in nothing but your birthday suit, or a spot of skinny dipping in the cool Scottish waters, read on to find your nearest nudist beach, and everything you need to know about going. Bare in mind that, if you are going to a naturist beach, you should prepare just like you would for a trip to any beach. Take a bag with essentials such as a towel, suncream, sunglasses, a snack, plenty of water, your phone, sandals or flip-flops, and a change of warm clothes, just in case the weather changes dramatically - which isn't completely out of the question! Located near Lagg, on the south west tip of the Isle of Arran, Cleat's Shore is one of Scotland's only official natural beach. It's described in the book Bare Britain as "probably the least visited nudist beach in the known universe," but, if anything, won't that just mean extra peace and quiet?
