Prior to "Battlestar," Sackhoff generally played stereotypical blonde roles in a variety of made-for-television movies, including her debut in the telepic "Fifteen and Pregnant" and feature films like "My First Mister" and "Halloween: Resurrection" But it was her spirited performance as the conflicted and complex Starbuck that made her a pop-culture icon. Backstage at Star Wars Celebration Chicago in April of , Katee Sackhoff and Dave Filoni were discussing his next project, The Mandalorian , the same weekend fans got their first look at the live-action series. But inside? On Friday, the world learned that Sackhoff was right: Bo-Katan lives!
Sackhoff was born in Portland , Oregon [1] and grew up in St. Helens , Oregon. Her mother, Mary, was an English-as-second-language ESL program coordinator, and her father, Dennis, a land developer. She began swimming at an early age and by high school planned to pursue a career in the sport until her right knee was injured.
